about

"better now" is about how bad i am at being vulnerable. it was the first song i wrote for "humidity." a lot of people think its a breakup song or a song about how people just don't understand me. nah bruh. sometimes i just need a little while to know how i'm feeling.

lyrics

LYRICS:
i shot myself right in the foot again
they’re standing outside, i won’t let them in
i’m better now, but i’m still not high
you can’t help me out, but neither can i

i’ll pretend like the trees are hollowed out
but i know they’ve still got bark
i’ll turn off all the lights in the kitchen, but
it takes time to get dark
and i’ll tell him that i still love him but
it’s hard to hold his hand
when they’re saying that we are pretty and
i know its to condescend
and he said

why can’t you
just get better now, better now
try something new
and just get better now, better now
why can’t you
just get

and i’ll tell him that i still love him but
i’m working on myself
and i’ll tell him that i still love him but
i’m working on myself

why can’t you
just get better now, better now
try something new
and just get better now, better now
why can’t you
just get better now, better now
try something new
and just get better now, better now
why can’t you
just get

i’m better now, but i’m still not high
